Superficial Neuromodulation® (NMS®) is a therapeutic Assessment and Treatment System that uses an Embryological Hierarchy applying Magnetic Tape® to help modulate nerve signals prioritizing the dysfunctions of the Central Nervous System through the modulation of epidermal scars to subsequently focus on the dysfunctions of the Peripheral Nervous System such as musculoskeletal pain.
Superficial Neuromodulation® helps to discern the application sites of Magnetic Tape® using the Embryological Hierarchy to help modulate the nervous signal, favoring the recovery of central neurophysiological balance through the modulation of the Autonomic and Peripheral or Metameric Nervous System.
To perform a correct Superficial Neuromodulation®, the user must read and understand the Instructions for Use, Precautions and Warnings, and receive training on the correct application procedure for Magnetic Tape® so that it is effective before placing it.
To perform a correct Superficial Neuromodulation® by applying Magnetic Tape®, the proposed Embryological Hierarchy must be followed, eliminating the aberrant myotatic reflex from the CNS to subsequently specify the origin of each peripheral or PNS dysfunction, whether traumatic, non-traumatic, local, peripheral or referred.
It is important to test to corroborate that there are no aberrant myotatic reflexes or alterations in tone before treating musculoskeletal dysfunctions or pain.
